CSM® is a sought after credential for managing projects that follow agile methodology. This certification provides the required credential which confirms that you have good understanding of Scrum and how it can be applied in organizations.

The certification will certainly help you do your job better and definitely boost your earning potential.

Though agile principles are generic and applicable in multiple industries and scenarios, the application of Scrum is direct fit in software and hence is mostly popular in software development projects.

There are no specific pre-requisites for appearing for the Certified Scrum Master (CSM®) exam. However it is preferable that you are Scrum Developer Certified(SDC®) which is an entry level certification for team members working in projects that follow agile methodology.

If you follow this training fully and with some dedicated self-study, you will be ready to appear for the CSM® credential exam by the end of the online training.

The candidate must attend two days training program by a Certified Scrum Trainer(CST) post which they can attempt the certification examination online.

You will need to pass the CSM® exam online. To attain a passing score, you must correctly answer 24 of the 35 questions.

You will be eligible for 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) upon completion of this course.

SBOK stands for SCRUM Body of Knowledge – a comprehensive guide to deliver projects using Scrum.

Your CSM® credential is valid for 2 years. Along with your certification, you will also have access to a 2-year membership with Scrum Alliance. Through this membership you can join local user groups, online social networks, gain access to deep discounts on gatherings, and additional member-only resources.

You can login to your dashboard on the scrum alliance website (https://www.scrumalliance.org) and you will get options to renew your certification after paying the required renewal fee.

If you fail to clear the CSM® exam in one go, you may take it anytime within 60 days following your CSM® course free of cost. If you fail for the second time also, you are required to pay a fee of US$ 25 for appearing for the exam again.
